থারু জাতি
থারু (দেবনগরী:थारू, থ্'রু্) জাতি নেপাল ও ভারতের তরাই অঞ্চলে বাসকারী আদিবাসী জাতি। নেপালে বসবাসকারী থারুদের মধেশী জাতির উপ-জাতি মনেকরা হয়।[4] নেপাল ও ভারত সরকার থারু জনজাতির লোকেদের স্বীকৃত নাগরিক অধিকার প্রদান করেছে। [5]

২০১১র জনগণনা অনুসারে, থারু জাতির জনসংখ্যা ১,৭৩৭,৪৭০ জন, যা নেপালের মোট জনসংখ্যার ৬.৬%।[6]
