চিচিঙ্গা

চিচিঙ্গা গাছের পাতা ২৫ সেমি পর্যন্ত লম্বা হয়ে থাকে। ফুলগুলি উষ্ণ, সাদা আঁশ নিয়ে রাতে পাপড়ি মেলে , পাপড়িগুলি বন্ধ হয়ে যাওয়ার সময় চুলের মতো সাদা আঁশ গুলো কিছুটা মুটিয়ে আসে, তবে রাতের বেলা সাদা রেখার কারণে নীল রঙের ফলগুলো দেখা যায় (নীচের গ্যালারীতে ফটো দেখুন)। চিচিঙ্গা ফল ২০০ সেন্টিমিটার পর্যন্ত লম্বা হতে পারে। ফেকে গেলে লাল বর্ণ ধারণ করে এবং বীজ সংগ্রহ করা যায়। এদের একটি জাত হলো জাপানি চিচিঙ্গা। এটি কিছুটা গোলাকৃতির হয় এবং 7 সেন্টিমিটার পর্যন্ত বৃত্তাকার হয়।
