Clinical Features

  • Symptoms range from urticaria/pruritus to bronchospasm, wheezing, anaphylaxis (rare)

Evaluation

Management

  • Stop transfusion until able to evaluate severity of allergic reaction
  • Give diphenhydramine
  • Restart transfusion if symptoms are mild
