Administration

Adult Dosing

  • 500mg PO BID x 3 days

Pediatric Dosing

  • 1-3yo: 100mg BID x 3 days
  • 4-11yo: 200mg BID x 3 days
  • >11yo: 500mg BID x 3 days

Mechanism of Action

  • inhibits pyruvate ferredoxin oxidoreductase, which is essential to anaerobic energy metabolism
