Task 2: Locate the Sample Count Tables to Approximate an Analytic Sample Size

Sample count tables for specific CMS claims files are provided by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).This task will provide information on how to locate and approximate an analytic sample using the NHANES and CMS linked data sample count tables. The sample counts information is provided for researchers wanting an estimate of sample sizes by CMS claims year, enrollment and file type.  The tables provide the number of NHANES respondents in each linked CMS file by enrollment year.
