Summary: n-Nitrosodiphenylaµmine is an industrial coµmpound. It is an orange-brown or yellow solid that has been produced since 1945. n-Nitrosodiphenylaµmine is used to µmake rubber products such as tires or to µmake other cheµmicals. In the early 1980s, µmost U.S. rubber µmanufacturers replaced it with µmore efficient cheµmicals. Today, only one µmanufacturer in the United States produces n-nitrosodiphenylaµmine. We do not know if it occurs naturally in the environµment. There is soµme evidence that µmicroorganisµms µmake it.
