Federal Agency to Hold Community Meeting about Midlothian Environmental Concerns

The federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will conduct an informational meeting with Midlothian area residents about ATSDR’s plan to look at environmental health concerns in the area. 

 

The meeting will be held on Thursday January 21, 2010, from 7:00-8:30p.m. at the Midlothian Conference Center, 1 Community Circle Dr., Room Bluebonnet 1, Midlothian, TX. The meeting is open to the public, and community participation is valuable. ATSDR representatives will discuss the agency’s work in evaluating the public health in Midlothian and plans to involve the community.

ATSDR, a federal public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, evaluates the human health effects of exposure to hazardous substances.

 

Members of the press may attend a media availability session preceding the community meeting from 6 pm – 6:30 pm at the same location.
