Meeting cancelled due to inclement weather

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a federal public health agency, will hold a Community Assistance Panel (CAP) meeting open to the public on February 7th, 2017. The meeting is from 6-9 p.m. at the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, 222 International Drive, Suite 175, Portsmouth, NH.

ATSDR is evaluating the public health impact of drinking water contaminated with perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) at the Pease site and nearby wells. ATSDR staff will give the community an update on the site work and on the status of an upcoming public health assessment. These meetings are a way for the community to better understand what ATSDR is doing.

CAP members work with ATSDR to gather and review community health concerns, provide information on how people might have been exposed to hazardous substances, and help guide ATSDR on how to involve the community.
