శ్వాసకోశ చేప

శ్వాసకోశ చేపలు (ఆంగ్లం Lungfish) ఒక ప్రత్యేకమైన చేపలు. వీటిని సాలమాండర్ చేపలు (salamanderfish) అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు.[1] ఇవి మంచినీటి ఆవాసంలో నివసించే డిప్నోయి (Dipnoi) ఉపతరగతికి చెందినవి. శ్వాసకోశ చేపలు అస్థి చేపల (Osteichthyes) గాలిపూల్చుకొనే శక్తిని, ద్విభాజక మొప్పల వంటి కొన్ని ప్రాచీన లక్షణాలను కలిగివుంటాయి. ప్రస్తుతం ఇవి ఆఫ్రికా, దక్షిణ అమెరికా మరియు ఆస్ట్రేలియాలో మాత్రమే కనిపిస్తాయి.
