పశ్చిమ వర్జీనియా

పశ్చిమ వర్జీనియా అమెరికా సంయుక్త రాష్ట్రాలలో ఒకటి. ఈ రాష్ట్రం అప్పలాచియా ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్నది. అమెరికా అంతర్యుద్ధ కాలంలో ఈ రాష్ట్రం విర్జీనియా నుండి వేరు పడింది. మరలా జూన్ 20, 1863 సంవత్షరంలో అమెరికాలో భాగం అయింది. అంతర్యుద్ధ ప్రత్యక్ష ఫలంగా ఏర్పడ్డ ఏకైక రాష్ట్రం ఇది ఒక్కటే. ఒక రాష్ట్రం నుండి విడిపోయి సొంత రాష్ట్రంగా ఏర్పడిన రెండు రాష్ట్రాలలోనూ ఇది ఒకటి.
