గంట

గంట లేదా గడియ అనేది ఒక కాలమానము. ఒక గంట 60 నిమిషములకు (లేదా 3, 600 క్షణాలకు) సమానము. 24 గంటల కాలము గడిస్తే ఒక రోజు పూర్తైనట్లు లెక్క.

తెలుగు కాలమానంలో రెండున్నర ఘడియల కాలం ఒక గంటగా లెక్కిస్తారు.

తెలుగు భాషలో గంటకు వివిధ ప్రయోగాలున్నాయి.[1] గంట నామవాచకంగా A bell, a gong. An hour అని అర్ధాలున్నాయి. గంటలగడ a staff hung with bells. used in bands or processions. గంటలమ్మ ఒక గ్రామ దేవత Name of one of the village goddesses. గంటవేట అనగా దీపాలు మరియు గంటలతో వేట.
