కైపర్ బెల్ట్
కైపర్ బెల్ట్ ను [1] కొన్నిసార్లు ఎడ్జ్ వర్త్-క్యూపర్ బెల్ట్ అనికూడా వ్యవహరిస్తారు. ఇది సౌర కుటుంబం లోని ప్రాంతం. నెప్ట్యూన్ గ్రహకక్ష్యకు ఆవలి ప్రాంతం.[2] ఇది ఆస్టెరాయిడ్ పట్టీ లాగానే వుంటుంది. దాని కంటే చాలా పెద్దదిగా, 20 రెట్లు వెడల్పుగాను 20-200 రెట్లు బరువుగానూ ఉంది.[3][4] ఇది ఆస్టరాయిడ్ బెల్ట్ లాగా చిన్న చిన్న సౌరకుటుంబ వస్తువులను, మరుగుజ్జు గ్రహం ప్లూటోనూ కలిగి ఉంది. ఆస్టెరాయిడ్ బెల్ట్ చిన్న చిన్న రాళ్ళను కలిగివుంటే, కైపర్ బెల్ట్ మిథేన్, అమ్మోనియా, నీటి మిశ్రమాల మంచు ముక్కలను కలిగి ఉంది.
కైపర్ బెల్టులో తెలిసిన వస్తువులు, ప్రధానమైన బెల్టులోని వస్తువులు పచ్చని రంగులోను, విసరబడ్డ వస్తువులు నారింజరంగులోను, నాలుగు బాహ్య గ్రహాలు ఊదారంగులో ఉన్నాయి. నెప్ట్యూన్ కు చెందిన కొన్ని ఆస్టెరాయిడ్లు పసుపురంగు లోను, బృహస్పతికి చెందినవి గులాబీ రంగులోనూ ఉన్నాయి. సూర్యునికి, కైపర్ బెల్ట్ కూ మధ్య విసరబడ్డ వస్తువులు 'సెంటార్లు'. స్కేలు - ఆస్ట్రనామికల్ యూనిట్.
కైపర్ బెల్ట్ కు ఊర్ట్ మేఘానికీ మధ్య తేడా గమనించవలెను. కైపర్ బెల్ట్ కంటే ఊర్ట్ మేఘం వెయ్యిరెట్ల దూరాన గలదు.
