ഹാംബർഗ്

വടക്കൻ ജർമനിയിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന നഗരമാണ് ഹാംബർഗ് (ജർമ്മൻ ഉച്ചാരണം: ഹാംബുർഗ്). ഒരു നഗരസംസ്ഥാനമായ ഹാംബർഗ് ജർമ്മനിയിലെ പതിനാറ് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ പതിമൂന്നാമത് വലിയ സംസ്ഥാനമാണ്. ജർമ്മനിയിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെയും യൂറോപ്യൻ യൂണിയനിലെ എട്ടാമത്തെയും വലിയ നഗരമാണിത്.[3] എൽബ് നദിയുടെ തീരത്തായാണ് ഹാംബർഗ് നഗരം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. യൂറോപ്പിലെതന്നെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് ഹാംബർഗ്. ഏകദേശം പതിനേഴ് ലക്ഷം ആളുകൾ ഹാംബർഗ് നഗരത്തിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു. ജർമ്മൻ തന്നെയാണ് പ്രധാന സംസാരഭാഷ. തദ്ദേശീയരെക്കൂടാതെ തുർക്കി , പോളണ്ട്, അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാൻ, പോർച്ചുഗൽ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുള്ളവരും ഹാംബർഗിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു. 2015 ജൂലൈയിൽ ഹാംബർഗിലെ സ്പെയ്സർഷാറ്റ് പ്രദേശത്തെ ലോകപൈതൃകസ്ഥാനം ആയി യുനെസ്കോ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.[4]
