സാർലാൻഡ്

ജർമനിയിലെ ഒരു സംസ്ഥാനമാണ് സാർലാൻഡ് (ജർമ്മൻ: das Saarland, pronounced [das ˈzaːɐ̯lant]; ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Saarland). സാർബ്രുക്കൻ ആണ് തലസ്ഥാനവും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ നഗരവും. 2570 ച.കി.മീ. മാത്രം വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള സാർലാൻഡാണ് ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ സംസ്ഥാനം (സിറ്റി സ്റ്റേറ്റുകൾ ഒഴിച്ചുനിർത്തിയാൽ). രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിനു ശേഷം ഫ്രഞ്ച് അധീനതയിലായ സാർലാൻഡ് 1957-ൽ പശ്ചിമ ജർമ്മനിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി.
