വസിഷ്ഠൻ

ഹിന്ദു വിശ്വാസമനുസരിച്ച് സപ്തർഷികളിൽ ഒരാളാണ് വസിഷ്ഠൻ അഥവാ വസിഷ്ഠ മഹർഷി. (സംസ്കൃതം: वसिष्ठ).[1] സൂര്യവംശത്തിന്റെ ഗുരുവും കൂടിയാണ് വസിഷ്ഠൻ. ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ മാനസപുത്രനാണ് വസിഷ്ഠൻ. എന്ത് ചോദിച്ചാലും തരുന്ന പശുവായ കാമധേനുവും അതിന്റെ കുട്ടിയായ നന്ദിനിയും വസിഷ്ഠന്റെ സ്വന്തമായിരുന്നു.
