ರುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಗ

ರುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಗವು ಭಾರತದ ಉತ್ತರಾಖಂಡ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಒಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ. ಇದು ಅಲಕನಂದಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಂದಾಕಿನಿ ನದಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಮಸ್ಥಾನ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲಕನಂದಾ ನದಿಯು ದೇವಪ್ರಯಾಗದೆಡೆ ಹರಿದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗೀರಥೀ ನದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಗಮಿಸಿ ಗಂಗಾ ನದಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮೀಯರ ಅತಿ ಪಾವನ ತೀರ್ಥಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಕೇದಾರನಾಥವು ರುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಗದಿಂದ ೮೭ ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ರುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಗವು ಹಿಮಾಲಯದ ಪವಿತ್ರನದಿಗಳ ೫ ಸಂಗಮಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಒಂದು. ಇತರ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪ್ರಯಾಗಗಳೆಂದರೆ : ದೇವಪ್ರಯಾಗ , ಕರ್ಣಪ್ರಯಾಗ , ನಂದಪ್ರಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷ್ಣುಪ್ರಯಾಗ.
