उत्तरी आयरलैंड

उत्तरी आयरलैंड (अंग्रेज़ी: Northern Ireland ; आयरिश: Tuaisceart Éireann) यूनाइटेड किंगडम का एक संघटक देश है। उत्तरी आयरलैंड, [स्कॉटलैंड]] के बाद यूनाइटेड किंगडम का सबसे अधिक जनसंख्या वाला क्षेत्र है। वहां हर वर्ग मील में 317 लोग रहते हैं। उत्तरी आयरलैंड की जनसंख्या में युवा लोगों की संख्या राष्ट्रीय औसत के मुकाबले कहीं अधिक है। जातीय अल्पसंख्यकों जैसे अश्वेत, एशियाई या चीनी मूल के लोगों की संख्या अधिक नहीं है। [2]

1. Norlin Airlann is a neologism which was not used by Scots speakers historically, but which has some official usage. The spelling Norn Iron is often used by some indigenous speakers as an affectionate phonetic spelling to reflect local pronunciation.
